Managing shared parameters can be a difficult exercise when one is collaborating on the cloud. Shared parameters have a global unique identifier so two shared parameters with the same name can co-exist in one project. While there are some apps that can be purchased to manage them, it usually comes down to a task that falls to a BIM Manager.
Now, In Revit 2023, one can store shared parameters on the cloud and load them directly into Revit. This is done through the Parameter Service. Firstly, the Parameter Service must be set up by the Account Admin of the Hub. You will find it in the Library Tab. Click on Create Parameter Collection.

You can use the Load Parameter button to load in parameters from a shared parameter text file.

You can even upload them from a Revit file that already contains the relevant parameters.

The Edit button allows one to include further parameter classification

The category refers to the Revit categories the parameter is applied to. This speeds up the setting up of the parameters as a Project parameter.

The properties palette group refers to the heading under which the parameter will be listed.

In Revit 2023 the Parameter Service now shows up in the Manage tab and is the same interface as you get on the Autodesk Construction Cloud.

You can even choose which hub to manage the parameters on.

When you are ready to load the parameters, go to the Project Parameters as usual, but note that you can now load the parameter from the parameter service

If the parameters have the required parameters assigned, you can now load them into your project.

They will show up as usual
