Using file packages is a way to collect files from folders you have permissions in and to share them with others.
You can assign package managers in the settings. You can do so by User, by Role or by Company. In the case below, I used role. This permission is paired with the permissions in Docs that the members have access to.

Provided that it is set up correctly, you will not have a situation where one Team’s Package Manager creates or edits a file package for another.

Creating the package is easy. Just give it a name (required) and a description.

Now you can add files to the package

After you create the package, you can view files, search and filter files, package file attributes, open files, publish files, export files, share files, download source files, submit files for review and create transmittals.
In the past, I used a folder for the intermediate step of the document controller creating reviews to copy files into the shared folder. With packages that is no longer necessary.
They can be used as containers to collect files necessary for a specific review. Also, a file may be added to more than one package.

Note what happens with the packaged file versions when the file version in Docs updates. They show that a never version is available.

You can then choose to change the file version to the latest one.

If there are multiple files you can open them all in a DataGrid to check them against the latest versions.

When you are ready you can just select the files in the package for revision now.

Choose the relevant review workflow and complete the review.

The review status slipsheets with the version and is visible in the relevant package.
Slipsheet: the metadata is specific to its version and updates with the version of the file that is selected.

Grouping files in packages for review is just one of the ways in which you can use file packages. How you leverage further them to achieve your aims within the Autodesk Construction Cloud challenges you to create a system of processes.
Some of the most recent additions to the platform include Package References in Cost Management, Correspondence, RFIs, Submittal, and Schedules
Members can select an existing file package from the reference picker in Cost Management. Also, members can view the associated references in the Packages list view.
Members can select an existing file package in additional Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows, such as Correspondence, RFIs, Submittal, and Schedule.
There is no classification field for the packages. I believe it will be necessary to create a naming system for the packages. If not naming, then some method describing the packages. It would be best to set this out in the BIM Execution Plan. Then you can understand at a glance what the package is for.
