Civil 3D settings are not easy to understand when you first come across them. Most operators rely on Bim Managers to manage their Civil 3D setting using templates and standards. After watching this video you should understand the hierarchical level of settings, how they relate to the default settings.
The levels are managed at a drawing level, object level and command level. We show how you can lock a setting to enforce defaults. We discuss how child overrides can be overridden to default and where that may be applicable. Given, you may not need to understand your Civil 3D just to be a draftsperson, but if you want to progress in your understanding, or to become more managerial in wielding Civil 3D, then you should try to understand these settings.
