When you first create an ACC Template you may be forgiven for thinking it is rather limited.

That is until you realize you are supposed to treat the template as a project.

Once you enter the project through the modules you have subscribed to, their methods and procedures can be applied to the project.

The members that you add to the template itself are simply those people you want to have helping you create the template.

To add the members of the project that is about to be created from the template, you need to be in the template project administration module.

You will probably need a few iterations of templates before you are happy with the new projects you create from them. If your team has some BIM skills, delegate some of the setup responsibilities in large projects to others.

One of the lessons I learned from my template adventures is that permissions are best managed through roles (note that many of the permissions you can assign per user is not possible in the template even through the user is added to the template). That is why I like creating a custom role for each team I create.

There is a lot to set up if you are going to follow through with more of the modules when creating the digital twin. There is even some setup you can do around the costing module of Autodesk Build.
