I remember creating mechanical engineering drawings in the ‘90s while studying with my friend, Andre. He laughed at me because I am always drawing a circle at the center of the drawing to give myself a sense of perspective. Why not a rectangle he asked? Sthe short answer is, I don’t know. He drew a rectangle, and I still draw a circle.
Did you know that there is a LIMITS command you can use with AutoCAD? I did not until a few years ago. I must admit that I still do not use the LIMITS command (I use a circle because I am willful). Yet if I worked for a company, I see perfectly how this would help a company if it were to set up a template. The neat thing about using Limits is that a Zoom All command zooms right into the limits when there are no other elements in the drawing.
