The Autodesk Docs Bridge is the new ability to transfer files from one project to another that has only recently been released. If you want to read about the ability, consider this link.
Before now, we had to download any files before uploading them to another project. This bridge also works between hubs, so long as you have permission to share files.
It is now easy to keep things like standards and families in one project (as a “template”) and then just copy them across to any new project that is required.
To begin the process, navigate to the project that houses the files that need to be transported across the bridge. Select the relevant folders and files by ticking the checkboxes next to them.
Then hit the transfer command.
Choose to transfer to another project and specify the destination folder.
You will be notified by email, alerting you that the process is done.
Now you can see the files that were copied across
You can see outgoing files
Incoming files
You may invite someone else to create a bridge between your projects
When you share sheets, you can also create automation. Note, that Autodesk Field must be active on both hubs for the sheets to be shared. Check the check box to update the sheets automatically if a new version is uploaded.
You can then see the automation for the project.
