Autodesk Solutions for Pressure Pipe Network Design

A common frustration with Civil 3D in the past is that it didn’t have piping tools to analyze pressure pipe networks. Many people would use add-ins either from Devotech or from Prokon. These add-ins typically demand an extra license fee that is not too excessive. Other Engineers use their own models that they set up in Microsoft Excel.

You can request a trial for Prokon ProNet here. An explanation of ProNet is given below.

“Analysis of pressure network objects within the AutoCAD® Civil 3D® environment.
ProNet is an extension for AutoCAD® Civil 3D®, created by PROKON, which allows you to add analytical data to pressure network objects, this includes pressure pipes, pressure fittings as well as pressure appurtenances, and then perform an analysis using a modified 64-bit EPANET engine. The analysis is fast, and it is performed within the AutoCAD® Civil 3D® environment.”

Autodesk Innovyze is a set of products designed around both gravity and pressure pipe it works and scalable to very large systems.
