CAD Link Issues into Revit in Autodesk Construction Cloud

The Autodesk Construction Cloud is designed around the concept of working securely in the cloud. To work securely, we do our design work in information silos or more accurately termed, Work in Progress (WIP) folders. When we are ready to share files, we copy them to the shared folder. You have freedom in how you structure your folders and information, so you can easily break these rules for your situation. Recently I helped resolve an issue where there was only one company, so the permission and liability were not a problem, but the live editing of files that were linked into Revit files was. Adopting the same methodology of only linking in copied (static) files fixed the problem.

If you need help adopting the AEC Collection or the Autodesk Construction Cloud in your practice or if you are looking to invest in hardware, please contact Micrographics so that we may be of assistance.
