I recently taught a class to a company that has AEC Collection licenses. That means they have the full Revit license and also a Docs license. Their requirement was to learn how to use the platform. I also activated some Collaborate Pro licenses to demonstrate how they interact.
The result was surprising. I was under the impression that Autodesk Docs users could create Cloud Co-Authored models (and that only they could open these files), but it turned out they could not. Also, they could not access the Cloud Co-Authored models!
In other words, you should not be using Co-Authored models for your Autodesk Construction Team if you mean to interoperate by using Non-Workshared Cloud models.
To revert a Co-Authored model down to a Non-Workshared cloud model, you must first download it off the ACC platform.
Once it is downloaded, you need to open the model.
Note, at no time are you asked to dislocate from the Co-Authored file. Save the Co-Authored file to your hard drive as a Central model.
Synchronize and then close the file. Now open it again. Note, you can Detach from Central and Audit and open all Worksets. Do that.
Now save as a cloud model.
Increment the file number if necessary.
That concludes the conversion of a Co-Authored cloud model to a Non-Workshared Cloud model on Autodesk Construction Cloud.
