I recently performed a cut and fill on a golf course in America. The purpose was to calculate how much of the course was below a certain elevation should the course flood. What complicated the exercise, was that the surface was a DEM surface that was created with a drone flyover.
In this video, we demonstrate how to extract a specific contour from a surface. We look at the surface style and the contour analysis setup, and then we extract the contour from the surface as a polyline. We also show how you can then use this extracted polyline to create a new surface with the polyline as its boundary.
