Until 2023 it was not easy to transform between coordinate systems. Yes, one could use Map3D to transform some lines and points, but the dynamic objects like surfaces, alignments, and profiles did not transform. One had to move those manually into position.
This was a big problem until now. Sometimes the surveyors work in a different coordinate system to the Architects. If the surveyors must go back into the field and update the surveys, then we have the problem of updating model points. I recommend you keep two files. One that stays in the survey coordinates. That way the underlying data can easily be updated from the survey database. Then, when the model needs to be communicated to the Architects, transform the coordinates and distribute the model to all concerned parties.
Now there is the Coordinates Transformation Tool. It is available from your account or via the Autodesk Desktop App.
Now consider the following project. It has a specific coordinate system:
Hartebeedhoek94/Lo19
You will find the tool installed in the Toolbox under the Miscellaneous Utilities. Double click to run it.
Even the South African coordinate systems are available. Whatever coordinate systems are available, you will have to try and see if they transform correctly.
