How to change the display of a Civil3D corridor
Introduction
Recently a customer asked us they want to change the display of an existing corridor to exclude certain lines. These lines are called the Corridor Frequency Lines.
The problem.
In the corridor they want to exclude the corridor lines and show only the embankment lines.
Solution
Normally with Civil3D object the display of the elements are controlled by the Object Styles, however if you go to the Object style of the corridor then you don’t see much.
The solution in this case is to set the Corridor Code Styles and change the setting to Display Bank Only.
The process to do this select the corridor and go to to the Corridor Properties.
Then select the Codes Tab and set the Style to “Display Bank Only”. Click apply and the corridor visibility will be turned off.
This will remove the display of the frequency lines but they might still print. If they do please follow the steps in the Autodesk Knowledge Network article below.
Conclusion
Using Civil3D might throw you curveballs from time to time but with help you will overcome.
