I had an issue with Civil 3D during a webinar recently. I wanted to set the working folder for demonstrating data shortcuts on the Autodesk Construction Cloud, and it simply would not.
I trawled the internet for a while and finally came to this article which his part of the Desktop Connector Help Files. After running the ACC DC Reset Utility, the Civil 3D Data Shortcuts performed normally again. The process was easy to implement and did not take too much time.
Instead of reinstalling the Desktop Connector, use the Reset Utility.
- Restores your Desktop Connector to its default state.
- Removes local cache and settings.
- Does not delete cloud data.
- Run the Reset Utility before uninstalling to properly uninstall Desktop Connector
The Autodesk Desktop Connector Reset Utility is found here:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Desktop Connector\Reset\ResetDesktopConnector.exe
