Lumion 12 introduced us to numberplates on motor vehicles. With the update to Lumion 12.3, these became customizable. Many times, the client may have a specific vehicle (Lumion has many brands that might be of interest included in their library) and a number plate that they have customized and that they would like to see displayed. In addition to that, regional context might also be of interest.
As for myself, CX 1987 was a vehicle that was dear to me.

While my light green Hyundai Accent is not available in the Lumion library, I have always imagined myself to be driving a Porsche 911 in my late 20s. Alas, I still do not own one, but at least I can still dream. And in this case, I can even put my CX 1987 custom number plate on my vehicle of choice.
The first step is to take a photograph of the number plate you would like to use and then crop it so that only the plate appears. I kept my plate after my car gave up the ghost on 25 August 2019, so it was an easy process. Alternatively, you can take a screenshot of a Lumion numberplate, and alter it as required.

Select the car and click on the license plate properties.

Choose to load a custom plate.

Sometimes the library vehicle does not support the custom plate, so then one should look for one that does.
