The software is not perfect. Sometimes it goes haywire. Now, with the lockdown, many people have been introduced to the joys of working from home. What comes with that for many people is the wonderful world of BIM 360 Design. I have been a proponent of the technology since its inception. It is a great solution. If one is connected to the internet, one can collaborate with one’s team, regardless of where in the world they are. However, this technology does add a layer of complexity that one has to manage. Sometimes it goes wrong.

After following the instructions and reinstalling the software, restart the computer
If this does not work, you may have to do a clean uninstall and reinstall of Revit 2021. Please note, you must uninstall the Revit updates in Revit 2021 before uninstalling Revit 2021. This is very important. Revit 2018 had the same quirk in this regard, so make sure you do the same for Revit 2018 if that is the version you are having issues with.
