If you ever researched how to format old Autodesk USB flash drives you would have been lucky the get information on the topic. However, we have been formatting the Autodesk flash drives for customers for about 5 years.

For most Autodesk 2012 Suites flash drive you can download the formatter here.

For most Autodesk 2013 Suites flash drive you can download the formatter here. Just make sure you read the Readme.txt file that comes with the download.

For most Autodesk 2014 and 2015 Suites flash drives you can download the formatter here.

For most Autodesk 2014 and 2015 Suites flash drives using Windows 10  you can download the formatter here.

The process is the make sure your Autodesk 2014 or 2015 Flash drive is in a USB3 port and then run the MPALL_F1_7F00_DL17_v363_0C file as an Administrator by RMC (Right mouse clicking) on the file). See below.

Then make sure you enable the MP.ini tick at the top of the dialogue box and click Update. The flash drive entry will appear in the appropriate slot as shown below. Click Start. See below.

The tool will do its thing and the drive will be formatted.

I must add that there are many variants of Autodesk 2014 and 2015 flash drives so the above process might or might not work. It has worked successfully for me for the last couple of years.

The MPALL tool found on the internet to format and repurpose Autodesk flash drives worked for us for a while on Windows 7 but then with us installing Windows 10 the tool started not picking up the flash drives. What I then did was to update the MPALL tool to another version and edited the .INI file. Among the edits I made was to download additional firmware .BIN files and copy them into the root directory of the app and then set up the .INI file to auto select the appropriate firmware file to use from the available list.

Please let me know if the tools work for you for formatting and repurposing Autodesk 2014 and 2015 flash drives.

Also let me know if you have a solution for repurposing or formatting newer Autodesk 2016, 2017 or 2018 flash drives.
