Since Revit 2022 the way in which Revit content is installed has changed. We now download them from the internet and run them as executables.
One of the things that are now absent is a choice on where to install the content (unfortunate). I have found the content installed in the incorrect folder: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\. It should be installed in the following folder: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2022\.
When this first happened, I did not know where to look for the content. I then followed the advice on the page below to figure out where the content was and to change the registry settings so that any additional content I install is installed in the correct location.
“To verify or change the location, refer to the RVT_S_CONTENTPATH registry key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Revit\2022\RCL\”
