Some great news! Revit has now incorporated Twin motion into your Revit subscription. For no extra money, you get access to rendering software that is even VR Capable. To access the capability, you must be operating in Revit v23.1.1 or later.
Open the model on a 3D view you would like to render. Then go to the View tab and click on Open in Twinmotion.
If you have not installed Twinmotion you will be directed to your Autodesk account.
Follow the link to download and install Twinmotion.
You will need at least 30 GB free on your hard drive when installing, and the download itself is about 16GB.
After installing, you will find the Twinmotion tab to be active.
I also tried to run the app through a TeamViewer connection, but it responded much the same as a connection with Lumion. I recommend you use Parsec if you want to enable remote operation.
I have a lot to learn about Twinmotion. At a first glance, it is clear there is the ability to substitute materials and a library of elements you can place. There is also a good class you can take at Autodesk University that will show you more than is covered in this short blog.
I am familiar with Lumion, Enscape, and V-Ray, but Twinmotion is new to me. In time I will write some new blogs about how appropriate the platform is depending on the type of output you require.
