Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing a bigger role in our lives these days. To compete effectively we need to pay attention to new apps that are released.
My attention was recently drawn to a Revit AI rendering add-in called Veras. If you just want to try the software, you can run a 15-day trial during which you can complete 30 free renders of 1024 x 1024 maximum resolution.
The standard pricing is $49 US per month. In South African Rand terms this translates to around R920/ month or R11,043.64 per year.
The AI capability is that one can give cues to the software as to the setting of the model, as well as interior and exterior materials. I suspect that such a license can be very useful when trying to lock down the material choices with the clients. Being able to quickly instruct the appearance of a model while sitting down with the client will save a lot of time and effort and one would just have to work back to the model materials after the AI render session.
I am sure there are many other reasons you will have and that others will demonstrate in time to come. This is partly my fascination with AI: how it will create new types of jobs and influence the deliverables we offer our clients.
