New users of Revit MEP may find it confusing when they use the connect into tool for air-side components at first. For instance, why are the air terminals connecting the branches with taps instead of tees? Must you change that out all the time after you create the connection, or can one change the behaviour.
How does one set up the families so that they represent the ones you want to use by default? Well, these are the routing preferences and can be changed by the user if required. Recognise that the type of connection that the air-side components make with the branch depends on the duct type that is selected just before connecting into. This means you can even set up different duct types to use in different scenarios.
