Whats new in Revit 2022 – Enhanced RPC Content

Introduction

Revit 2022 has been released and we’ll be looking at some of the new features. In this blog we’ll focus on the new and enhanced RPC content. Please remember that these RPC content is over and above the standard content from the Standard Revit Libraries downloaded from: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Where-to-find-Revit-Content-Libraries-to-download.html

And bimobject.com https://www.bimobject.com/en-us/product?sort=trending

What is RPC content?

Real Photo Realistic content is a technology that users a lightweight geometry and couple of images to show realistic items. Like people cars and trees. The benefit of this is that these components are lightweight wrt file size and they look great in your 3d presentation. If you do not use RPC content you’ll need a detailed 3D models with complex materials and that makes your model very “heavy” , especially if you have a large number of trees, cars and people in your Revit model.
