Prokon Know-How: Asymmetrical Beam to SUMO as Solid Mesh

Using AutoCAD and Frame’s Plate & Solid Mesh Generator, you can take an asymmetrical beam profile (not limited though) from a polyline in AutoCAD to a Solid Mesh element in SUMO. This element/member can then be loaded eccentrically and the effect of that loading analyzed. This workflow significantly simplifies the process of modelling an asymmetric profile and yields great results.
