Autodesk Fusion Operations defines a product as a series of processes that convert raw materials into a finished product.

Creating a new Product in Autodesk Fusion Operations involves defining its structure and processes. Here’s a step-by-step guide: Please see Link For Part 1

  • Color – Use this field to specify the color of the product’s tile on the mobile device. This helps to visually distinguish the product in the mobile interface.
  • Shipping Package Types – Specify the type of packaging used for shipping your product, such as whether it is placed on a pallet or in a box.
  • Minimum Inventory – This attribute is used to set a threshold for stock levels, triggering alert emails when inventory reaches the minimum specified.
  • Maximum Inventory – This value determines the suggested quantity for Production or Purchase Orders, ensuring stock levels reach this maximum. It is only applied when the Production or Purchase Order is generated using the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) feature.
  • Minimum Quantity to Reorder – This defines the minimum amount to be purchased or produced when a new purchase or production order is created through the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) feature.
  • Quantity Multiple – This sets the required multiple for the quantity when creating a new purchase or production order through the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) feature. The order quantity must be a multiple of this value.Scrap Allowance – This value increases the production order quantity to account for material waste or defects. It is applied when creating production orders from sales orders and in the Bill of Materials (BoM).
  • Shelf Life – This field automatically sets an expiration date for lots received or produced with this product, based on the number of days specified.
  • Unit Price – This is the default price per unit for the product on sales orders.
  • Unit Cost – This is the default cost per unit for the product on purchase orders.

After completing the required fields in the form, such as ‘Code’ and ‘Name’, along with any other fields you wish to fill out, click ‘Save and Continue Editing’ to keep working on the product, or ‘Save and Add Another’ to save the current product and create a new one.
