Autodesk Vault 2024 is out and with it as always come some welcome addition to this already great piece of software.

Copy Folder

This is a great addition if you have the same folder structure when it comes to creating additional projects with different names. In the below graphic you can see you have the option of where to copy the folder as well as being able to include subfolders, carry over any permissions that you had assigned to those folders as well as any properties as well.

Automated DXF and STEP file creation

Autodesk Vault 2024 allows you to create DXF and STEP files through the process of a lifecycle change that you have configured or through a manual process. These files can either be saved inside the Vault or outside in a folder that mimics the Autodesk Vault folder structure.

Inventor Design Data and Template Management

Autodesk Vault 2024 makes it even easier than before to create and deploy changes to design data and templates that have been modified

Backup and Restore Enhancements

When creating backups and restores anything to drive down the time it takes to complete these tasks is welcome. Autodesk Vault 2024 can now selectively back up vault and library databes to reduce time and space required for the process. You want to backup just the database without the filestore? Done! You can also choose not to do the file validation which in large filestores can take forever.
