Autodesk BIM 360 Docs Titleblock Creation
Some very welcome news was shared by Joan Allen in the latest Autodesk BIM 360 Docs release notes! The changes address some of my frustrations encountered when first using Autodesk BIM 360 Docs.
One is now able to specify a new template for documents within BIM 360 Docs. This is great news as, in the past, one had to either get it right the first time or start afresh.
One is now also able to read fields using templates that are read for the PDF as vertical text. Fantastic! It is difficult to always have horizontal text on Titleblocks and still have everything fit on it.
These tools and the Titleblocks are there for the management of published PDF documentation so that metadata may be extracted from the sheets. Typically each company that publishes have their own Titleblocks, but the metadata extracted for each file needs to be the same.
