The Model Coordination clash detective is a new generation offering from Autodesk BIM 360. It is still not the standard in Clash Detection as the older workflow of using BIM 360 Glue and Navisworks is still recommended as the new generation platform matures.

It is nevertheless a good idea to investigate new technologies, and in this spirit, this video blog looks at how one may use a folder structure for BIM 360 Model Coordination that will preserve clash detection results that were performed at certain milestones.

The Model Coordination folder may be activated or deactivated at will, and may also be assigned to another folder. Only one folder may be assigned the role of “Model Coordination” folder at a time.  Simply load the models that need to be clash detected into the required folders and the cloud does the rest.
