3ds Max Startup settings

3ds Max Startup settings

Customizing software is always a pain.  You have to make sure that you are in the correct units, and your material library is being mapped correctly in your project otherwise you find that a lot of things can go wrong before you have even started your scene.

How many times have you opened up a scene, applied materials and then click render and it says sorry but your materials cannot be used, an approximation will be used.  Too many for my liking.

In this video, we are going to take a look at how to setup the units for the system as well as display and a very overlooked setting which is the Renderer that 3ds Max defaults to whenever you start up a scene.
