With the introduction of the AutoCAD specialised toolsets the range of automation in AutoCAD has been greatly increased just by introducing modules that have always been there but was not utilised because there was an additional cost to it.
Today we are going to look at simple basic functionality found in AutoCAD P&ID which normally in vanilla AutoCAD would take much longer. We are going to add some equipment and tag it, add some pipe lines and the arrow indicating the flow as well as automate the creation of flanges./nozzles on tanks. Then look at the metadata in a report and export to excel where further modifications will be made to be brought back into P&ID.
These few steps would take much longer in normal/vanilla AutoCAD showcasing the power of the specialised toolsets.
