Inventor 2020 has been released and it has come with a fresh new look.
After installing and opening you will notice that the User Interface has been worked on quite intensively and the color just seem to pop. I really like the modern look that Autodesk has gone for.
Gone are the days of the outdated dialog boxes. Property palettes are the way to go. Initially transforming the hole feature from a dialog box to a property palette in Inventor 2019, Inventor has now added the following to follow this palette route.
- Extrude
- Revolve
- Sweep
- Thread
This is a quicker and easier method of getting to and activating the different commands in the command in question.
With dialog boxes one would have to move from one side of the box and it was not very intuitive.
Property palettes allows you to start from the top and move down, adding and hiding the different parts of the command which are pertinent to what you are trying to do.
If you look at the difference between these 2 methods of carrying out commands which one would you like to use? I have been using Inventor for 17 years now and will definitely go for the new look every single time.
Another added feature is something that users have been clamoring over for years. MULTI MONITOR usage. yes finally you can use those monitors you have bought properly in a way that doesn’t make like you are trying to put a square peg in a round hole.
This just looks right.
