Fusion Rebranding

SHARE

Fusion 360 has gone through a lot during it’s lifetime and in January 2024 it saw another. Autodesk rebranded Autodesk Fusion 360 to just Autodesk Fusion, officially dropping the 360 from it’s name.

How does this effect me you might ask. For new commercial users you will see a new pricing and package structure. All current users who have purchased license/s prior to 29 January 2024 will have a price lock until 06 February 2027. This means that you will keep on paying a discounted price from the new pricing structure that has been put into place.

With regards to the Autodesk Fusion Startup license, Autodesk announce that they are ending this free option as well as changing some of the eligibility criteria that you need to have to qualify for this. The Autodesk Fusion Education License have also been rebranded with the experience remaining the same.

The biggest change that we see is the re-branding and merging of some of the Autodesk Fusion Extensions.

The name changes that have been made are the following:
Fusion 360 Product Design Extension is now Fusion Design Extension
Fusion 360 Signal Integrity Extension is now Fusion Signal Integrity Extension
Fusion 360 Manage Extension is now Fusion Manage Extension

The merging of extensions are also as follows:
Fusion 360 Simulation Extension and Fusion 360 Generative Design Extension are now merged into Fusion Simulation Extension.
The Fusion 360 Additive Build Extension, Fusion 360 Nesting & Fabrication Extension, and Fusion 360 Machining Extension are now merged into the Fusion Manufacturing Extension.
