Chaos Group and Enscape merge

When creating photo realistic renders you have a myriad of options to choose from. Two that Micrographics has partnered with are Vray by Chaos Group and Enscape.

About a week ago an announcement was made that the two of these companies will be merging! This is fantastic news as I am sure that they will bring their incredible knowledge and features and merge it into both packages or make an even better software package by merging the two?

If you haven’t heard of these two packages, Enscape is an incredible real time renderer on the AEC side which allows you to also very quickly delve into Virtual Reality. Enscape is able to work with the major players in the architectural software space with Revit, ArchiCAD,Vectorworks, SketchUP and Rhinoceros all taking up it’s cause to get better visualizations out.

Chaos Group owns the fantastic render engine VRay as well as Corona. These render engines have been institutionalized in the AEC industry and are leaps and bounds ahead of the pack. Both VRay and Corona are able to function in 3DS Max while Vray is able to function in SketchUp as well as Revit.

All their products and services will live under the Chaosgroup brand name but will be lead by both the current CEO’s of the respective groups.
